I took a chance today and shot with a slow shutter. It was certainly mixed, but I did like a few of the shots I got.

More practice needed, most are oof

Try increasing your shutter speed a touch and practice your technique

Good effort though

The best shot is the guy with the 500mm, the others would be good if they were sharp, not sure why not they are either grossly out of focus or your shutter speed is way to slow ? These shots I would be shooting at 1/400th - 1/250th a mix of both to guarantee me some keepers.

Cheers

Looks like you were between turns 6 & 7?

I was in the turn 7 terrace. Got some pics from the weekend to go through that I will post later.

Yep, they're crops. Nothing drastic. Maybe 40-50%. It shows the limitations of my zoom (it's a 100-300mm, the $360 model). I've been looking to upgrade, but funds have been limited. Also, with the sun at my back, it was hard to gauge the sharpness on the LCD of my 40D.

This is uncropped.

Take my advice and don't use the LCD screen for anything other than checking the histogram or composition.
