A product of sheer boredom of being stuck at home on a rainy Saturday night (thanks to Ike!)

Please help me choose the best conversion

"A Measure in Vanity" - Bleach Bypass : Wanted to convey that vanity can be an ugly thing.

IMAGE NOT FOUND
HTTP response: NOT FOUND | MIME changed to 'image/png' | Redirected to error image by ZENFOLIO PROTECTED


"A Measure in Vanity" - B&W Conversion : No reason, just better than the normal color version
IMAGE NOT FOUND

The color version has it, hands down.

My problem with the b & w version is that there is too much contrast such that the deeper shadows are more blocked up.
