Cool pics!!

Its only 50-60$ to join AMA. Is it worth it? I guess.

I have been a member for 4 years now. I fly RC helis only. They are much fun. I will take some photos soon at a fun fly coming up. We have a special field to fly at.

It would be OK for a camera ship, but the cost? Your better off with an electric heli. The vibrate less, and make no emissions.

If your interested in them, check out Run Ryder.com(Mark has TOP quality pictures, and videos), or Helifreak.com They have small event all over the country in summer. Or PM me!!

I just got to see it fly and will upload some flying photos tonight, plus add a couple here. It was a defective glow plug that kept it grounded on Sat, and it looks like it's fixed. He hasn't had it very long and is still learning it's characteristics but was kind enough to invite me to watch a short practice flight this afternoon. I'll also try to find a link to the manufacturers web site for more info on it. The kit is from Germany, and so is the gas turbine.

I have now added another 19 photos to the album listed in the first post, and here are a few samples from them. I think I was very fortunate to be invited for today's flight.

Other than the fact the turbine outlet is a bit oversized, I defy anyone to say #3 isn't for real...

Wow, what a project...

Excellent photos!

After a lot of time spent bouncing through many sites I thought I would add some links to the different sites that show how to build it. The kit is ordered ala carte, rather than as a package, and I'm guessing that you would need to download the plans first & do a lot of careful planning before placing the first order, or you may come to an unexpected halt in the assembly process due to a missing component. There is an American distributor, but I couldn't find the fusilage kit at their site so used the UK link. (note that using the arrows leads to other kits).

Plans can be downloaded at the first site, and make for an interesting read, especially the pre first flight stuff.

That is one nice Lama.

Thanks for the Runryder link, it looks like a great place for me to learn even more about them.Unfortunately I can't make it to the Fredericksburg event due to other things already in the works, but it would have been nice to go. It's a full days drive each way from here, but I know the way well from the many trips to Florida I have made. I will however pass the info on to a friend in Richmond who might be interested.
Yes, it's one VERY nice Lama, and I know he's enjoying it.
