Nice. Looks like you and I were at the same game and not too far apart!

Wow, those are some expensive seats iirc.
What lens did you use? 70-200?
Because those shots look incredible.

Lovely shots of the backs of these players. Next time try and move if you can to get faces! Any action pics from the game? It looks like you were in a good spot to get some decent batter shots.

Thanks for the comments all. I'm just an amateur shooter - these were taken with my XTI + 50 1.4mm. If I had a zoom I could probably have gotten better pics (more faces, batters) but that just wasn't the case.
But I was very happy with the way these turned out, thanks for looking.

Oh, and believe it or not the seats were freebies. I have a relative who wasn't able to make the game and gave me the tickets. They were front row, probably about 15 feet off of first base. It's not often I get to the stadium, and certainly not that close. They never let you anywhere near the front unless you have tickets in the area.
This is the last week in the old Stadium, yet another reason I'm grateful to have the chance to go.

Your lucky. I did get a chance to go to a game last year with great seats from the side between home and first. My uncle is in upper management at a bank in the City and I guess the company uses those seats for clients.

I got stopped with my 100-400 after I was already in. The 100-400 zooms via push-pull so it gets considerably longer when you zoom. He told me the rule was that the lens couldn't be longer than your arm (I think elbow to fingertips). But on their site it only says no monopods or tripods. I think you will be ok with your lens. Bags are also allowed as long as they are not huge. I saw a guy in last night with a pretty large Tamrac bag so... you should be ok.

Either way... you can put it all in the bag and just show it to them at the gate. But it probably would be better to connect the lens and throw the camera around your neck... less things in the bag for them to have to look through.

Mastroz... I was wrong about the bag. They apparently don't let bags in at some gates. So put the camera around your neck and ditch the bag. I had no problem but apparently they may give you a hard time with a bag.

Sweet shots, the little boy and Hendrick is what makes baseball a great game.
