Sep 14, 2008 16:32 | #6 Thanks for the comments all. I'm just an amateur shooter - these were taken with my XTI + 50 1.4mm. If I had a zoom I could probably have gotten better pics (more faces, batters) but that just wasn't the case.

Sep 14, 2008 18:04 | #7 Oh, and believe it or not the seats were freebies. I have a relative who wasn't able to make the game and gave me the tickets. They were front row, probably about 15 feet off of first base. It's not often I get to the stadium, and certainly not that close. They never let you anywhere near the front unless you have tickets in the area.

I did get a chance to go to a game last year with great seats from the side between home and first. My uncle is in upper management at a bank in the City and I guess the company uses those seats for clients. Photographer + Cinematographer

The 100-400 zooms via push-pull so it gets considerably longer when you zoom. He told me the rule was that the lens couldn't be longer than your arm (I think elbow to fingertips). But on their site it only says no monopods or tripods. I think you will be ok with your lens. Bags are also allowed as long as they are not huge. I saw a guy in last night with a pretty large Tamrac bag so... you should be ok. Rob

Is it best to caring the lense in disconnect or connected to my camera when I go in you think? We are parking at the port of authority, I can't exaclt just go back to my car. Canon Rebel XSI

But it probably would be better to connect the lens and throw the camera around your neck... less things in the bag for them to have to look through. Rob

So put the camera around your neck and ditch the bag. I had no problem but apparently they may give you a hard time with a bag. Rob
