The Elinchrom ranger prices are all in the US$2000 range, i'm not sure I use them enough to go with prices like that. I think I just need a smallish soft box that will take a 580, or maybe two 580s.

The Quantum Qflashes are all in the $1000 - $1800 USD range, depending on what you get. If the Ranger Quanta could be around $1500 or lower, for me it would be a done deal! Here's hoping... :)

Thanks, but for professional use I want something robust and professional looking. Lighting gear gets thrown around a bit, and plus i'm pretty crap at putting things like that together.

US$1500 might be tempting... it's just more equipment to haul around though.
