the Lowepro CompuRover will hold all that, and I've used it as my carry-on several times.

At first i thought the price was a bit steep ($200 at Samy's Camera in OC, CA) but man it hasnt let me down once and the quality is awesome as is the functionality. Haven't regretted that purchase once. I really like the Thinktank design (trust me, i tried ALL the brands of backpacks i could get my hands on) and the thing i liked most about the TT bags is that they are made as slim as possible, yet still firmly padded - they aren't bulky like a lot of the other brands, like a lot of lowepros & tamrac. I bought and returned one of the biggest Crumpler backpacks for my Thinktank bag because, despite its girth, it didn't fit barely any of my lenses lying on their sides. The Thinktank bags are surprisingly deep for how slim they are externally. Also, its like the least obvious camera backpack out right now unless you are a photography enthusiast. http://www.paradigmphotographyoc.com

I like my SlingShot, but I feel like it's pretty bulky for it's capacity.

I was almost not able to carry on my camera gear because the airline had a 7kg (15.43lbs) limit for carry on even though my bag met the basic requirements for size! This just happened yesterday on EVA airlines! They wanted me to check in the backpack! If I had the Pelican case it would not have been a big issue for me, but there was no way I was going to check the backpack! Gear List

I had to unload the backpack so they could see it was mostly camera gear and a laptop which accounted for over 8kg with the total weight being 15kgs! i'll make sure that wont happen.=D good tip Ben

SuzyView Cream of the Crop More info | Sep 19, 2008 05:16 | #29 I carry my 17 inch Dell (8.5 pounds) in my Adventure 9 and it fits snugly and I can fit my 24-70 on the 5D upside down in the bottom front compartment and then add the 70-200 2.8 IS on the side of it. It's tight, but doable. I think the top compartment is the key. You can fit whatever crap you have that isn't photography related in that so you can bring a roller bag along for carry on. When I travel to shoots and need to have all my gear as carry on, I take the Adventure 9 and then my Think Tank International. That combo fits everything I need and forget the checked in bag with clothes and personal items with liquids. I need the gear with me. The only thing I don't like about the Adventure 9 is that it gets heavy after a while. That's why I bring cords to have it on the roller bag when I go around the airport.
