I do have to say that, testing my new 1DmkIII at the Yankee game, I was thoroughly impressed with the 10 fps speed. Here is a single series from the Yankee game last night... keep in mind I was shooting through the backstop.

Very cool.

Love how you can see the movement of the ball throughout the pitch.

Thats a great series of pics. I watched that guy pitch. I'm always fascinated by those side arm pitchers. Their drop their arms so much throughout their motion - it amazes me they can still deliver the ball so accurately.
Nice shots!

Agreed Curzio. When you look at the pics and how low this guy gets it makes you wonder how he doesn't fall straight over lol

analysing movements is a special kind of photographing, i like it, so all interesting movements about people or anymals are about 2 seconds, like this example
i do not understand the need for so much burst capacity, by 10 fps is 20/30 burst max quality RAW all we need

1D3 - 24-70mm 2,8 - 85mm 1.2 - 300mm 2,8 IS wow

Looks like a slow ball, but we all know it's because of a terribly fast camera! lol

+1 on the net and the hitting. The seats were unbelievable and I got all the lenses in... the net was a real killer though!

weird biodynamics on the side arm pitch. I wonder if they have different shoulder problems.....
