Metz 54-MZ3 or 430

Is there a big difference in these flash guns please i need to know before i bid on the Metz 54-MZ3 i wont be doing anything fancy just straight forward flash thank you...Ray:)

The Metz 54MZ has the advantage of more power than the 430 (it is like a 580EX) and it also has the advantage of being able to be changed to any other camera support via a change of the 'personality' module which is at the foot of the flash. It would not be compatible with Canon wireless, although it is compatible with Metz wireless. Lastly, the Metz 54MZ has a very accurate and reliable Auto photosensor mode, unlike the very variable shot-to-shot results that ETTL results in!
