Not sure about the "Gas". seems like it would be blowing back more if not right down the body. It would have to have really high pressure to blow straight out like that. I also don't see a hole where it is coming out of. I believe its light reflecting from some where 1D Mark III, XTi, 16-35 f2.8L ,24-105 F4.0Lis, 28-135 3.5 is, 50 f1.8, 70-200 f2.8IIL is,100-400, Kenko Pro300, 430EXII

This bad boy is flying wheels and flaps up so it's traveling easily well over 200. Anything venting from the craft itself would head straight back along the path being traveled. So I'm thinking that this is just a case of some flare just happening in an interesting place. Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Not only is it not venting "the way it should", it also looks like it is venting to the side. It, IMO is some sort of lens flare. Gary Eaton www.garyeatonstudios.com

Any fluid would look horizontal as the aircraft moves across the sky. Google Images "Water Bomber" to see thousand of gallons of water coming out under pressure and even it turns as the plane flies away or for even more fun Google Images "Fuel Dump."

Cheers Barry You are correct about it being a 738, but it is in fact not ThomsonFly as was my first thought also but I began seeing differences between the paint scheme. 40D ~ EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM ~ EF 50mm f/1.4 USM ~ EF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6L IS USM
