Say Hi to Ranschan for me. Just a tip. Take a lens that is less than 75mm in diameter, it fits through the holes in the wire fence so you can get some great images. Mike Mike Mike

New ones don't seem that massively so I'm sure you can pick up a used one for a decent price. Do you have one on offer at the moment? http://www.evilkitchen.ca

Non IS asking for £360 and for that, ill snap it up in an instant. Potential buyer is dragging his feet so im just hoping he sells it to me instead. Just booked on to go to the WHF tomorrow, can't wait ![]() Nice one - I went last Aug and got some ok shots when the weather was rubbish so I really want to go again when the light is better. elysium wrote in post #6987294 Does anyone know whats the rough 2nd hand price for a 300mm f/4L I sold mine (with IS) for 580 at the start of the year. I would think it would be around that ballpark for a mint condition one. The IS version is pretty good though so I would ask for a test shoot with the non IS first. souporman wrote in post #6987106 Happy new year everyone! ![]() Anyone feel up for a short notice meet on Sunday? Hadn't gotten as far as thinking of a place yet, but would like to get out this weekend and Saturday is already booked up. Would like to come out but my back is fudged at the moment - sciatic nerve pain Various gear

I've had the Ec-D on mine for a few years (same one on mk2 and mk3) and it really helps with composition. For night / dawn photography it can be difficult to see the guide lines but its still useful Well that sucks. Let me know if it magically cures itself by sunday though, pretty sure I still have your scarf elysium wrote in post #6987453 Yeah I was reading the reviews vs the two and the IS ver has a MFD of 1.5m as opposed to the 2.5m also which was one thing. Ill await his reply and take it from there. Either way, I am real interested. Means I can pick up a monopod also and look more pro ![]() MFD charts scare and confuse me http://www.evilkitchen.ca
