London is a very big and photogenic place, just go without sleep for your entire holiday if you can :D

I know! I've actually been MANY times, but, the last time was 4 years ago and I've only ever had a crap camera with me. just a point n shoot.. but this time I'll have a real SLR, a tripod, etc etc...

I'm tentatively thinking the "jet lag day" might work out for night shots/meetup... it gets dark early which works out because I could have dinner, take night shots early, and then CRASH. The next night I'm meeting up with friends I haven't seen in donkey's years and then the next two nights might be a play or something (could always head out afterwards with the tripod...)

Yes, way way way too short of a trip!

It's as is. Two screws to adjust the height. I had to buy the flash sync chord seperatley from Calumet. You can borrow it if you wish. I have no need for it al the Monet and holds well with my body gripped and a 580EX II.

Another thing Mitesh... if I use my 488RC2 head and put the plate on the tripod collar of my 70-200... I can't get it on the head without taking the grip off my 5D. Do you have a similar problem with your 300L?

@ Adam
Since I dont even have a decent tripod, I wouldnt be able to tell you. But looking at the position for each mount on both lenses, it same issue.

@ Kevin
Most shots today be farting around so I will have to wait for tomorrow. Since I need to drop my bracket off to Ian, what time are we all meeting up?
