Yes, very funny. That Tiger one they showed was amazing, i'd never seen that before.

11kg ? must check the specs, I wonder how much the 2475 weighs? I measured up compared to my venerable 15" LCD and the 2275 and it would give me something like an increase of over 33% on screen real estate.

Oh I have taken that first step (ordered from Insight and delivered the following day [yesterday] and their tech support wasn't bad either~newer kit in older PC and all that) and installed a new graphics card in readiness for spending the much more sizeable amount on the monitor - the PC may no longer the state of the art but the screen will have to come first :D

Yep, 11.4kg was on the del note, so that's the box, screen, cables, stand etc.
I looks great just wish i could plug it into something. One of the big pulls for me was being able to turn the who screen 90 deg to portrait mode.

Yep. There is no camera gear in that bag, just a flask of milky tea and some jam sandwiches my mum made for me.

Tea and Jam sandwichs would be great for the kent meet, i'll put my order in now:D:D:D

Arrested in London.

Just caught a brief news item about a guy Reuben Powell arrested for taking pics in London.

One news link here http://www.simonhughes.org.uk …r_laws_abuse__hughes.html (external link)

So just watch out on those London meets as 'you' could end up in clink for 5hours ;) :(

Interesting. With this arrest, what exactly was he arrested and held for 5 hours? Doesnt mention.

I did get stopped under this act but was on my way within half hour.

Maybe it's worth carrying a list of the rights of photographers at all times when one is out and about photographing in London? I remember this cropped up before, perhaps in the last UK SE POTN thread? .... sad really :(

On an unrelated note.

I have a couple of distinct dust bunnies on the 40D sensor which are still fuzzily there @ f8

Heh ho, now need to buy that wet cleaning gear I have been putting off. I know this has come up here on POTN umpteen times but where have you SE POTNers bought the kit/gear???

TIA :)

I use a Sensor Klear pen which has a wet tip. Only downside is, mine has dried out quick and cannot get right into the corners. I should invest in a proper kit myself.

Thanks Mitesh, yes I have read mixed reports of the SensorKlear pen???

One thing I have never tried to use (as an interim measure) is the dust delete data "method" whcih I think all the xxxD upwards have. Anyone using that?

I bought stuff off ebay, which reminds me I have run out of swabs. I got this kit: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk …A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318 (external link) but with swabs suitable for my 20D & 30D (The ones in the link are for 1D & 5D sensors).
It works very well.

Another vote for the stuff from Crooked Imaging, they are very helpful with questions too!

Just noticed their tagline at the moment; "Due to the imminent arrival of baby crooked imaging, there may be delays in items being shipped" :D

Surely the police have just been given the new revised rules on photogs rights, how did that happen?!

I was a bit worried using it on my 5D but gives me good overall results.

I think mine has the dust data thingy but never got it to work.

That's what I got, the stuff pictured there - eclipse fluid, PEC pads etc. Seemed to have a good enough rep on forums so went for that. It's a bit fiddly but then again all sensor cleaning jobs are, right?
