I'm at work by 7.30 every day so POTN is often an early stop for me :D

Mitesh - My wifes parents live about 30mins south of Rye (Bexhill) and its usually takes us around 3hrs to drive there, rye will prob be the same depending on traffic, although your car is prob much quicket than our little KA.;)

Thats not too bad if we leave early enough. Would have to up early that day. Considering we would be going from Bracknell, possibly about half hour extra needed.

Gawd, pages & pages of meeting plans I cannot make :)

Just coming back briefly to sensor cleaning? I will be ordering a Sensor Swab kit from WE and I think what looks like a Hama branded version of the Sensor Klear pen but needed a little comfort feedback from you guys?

For the 1.6 crop sensor it is the 17mm swab, isn't it??? And just how many drops of E2 is right, I watched a video that said 2 to 4 !!!! Well elsewhere I recall comments made that the swab should not be too wetted or too dry so should it be 2, 3 or 4 drops for the 17mm wide swab???

TIA :)

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p

I usually find 2 drops to be enough. The fluid is absorbed pretty quickly across the entire width of the swab so 2 drops should be plenty.

The swap should be moist, on the 1.6 i use 3 drops , 1 centre 1 each side.

Gotta keep up  As others mentioned. 2 is enough. I did see a video of a guy who painted on a gel which sticks to the centre and once dried, just peels away.

Pretty time consuming but looked pretty effective.

I use 2 or 3 drops depending on how bad the sensor is. I'm not sure that the extra drop will hurt!

Thanks guys

So the consensus average is 2.75 drops  What about the width ~ 17mm is the one for the likes of the 40D ???

Mitesh, ref the 'gel' I recall that being mentioned a while back and others reminded me of the "old" offering of such a product to clear vinyls. You know the things we used to palay before CDs.
