Good stuff! If they're under 16 you might need a CRB check...

Wonder if I should do a gear page thingy on here, but not sure why we do them - for the sake of satisfying the curiosity of others or is it vanity?!

@ Laura
Its an ego thing I guess or maybe just to see what people use. Its a bit of both with me. :)

@ Ian
Early days so far but hopefully have a talk with the organiser on Thurs. If I like what he has to offer/pay then ill cascade it to others since he is looking for shooters across the UK.

Ohhhh that was you? Haha the photography world is small! It was a long shot really - but I was browsing online and thought it might be worthwhile to ask.

Just bought one today though, yay!

Dunno, but it does help when chatting about gear, or recommending gear to someone or even when commenting on images. I look at gear lists quite a bit, and you can sometimes tell the experience of shooters by their list, well I like to think I can :)

Or experience of their wallets :p

It's good when you can see progression.
When you can see they've still got 300Ds, 20D, 5D, 1DIII, Hasselblad - you can see they've earnt it. Not, I've got money, buy a 1DS Mk III and not know how to use it

Congrats Laura on the new toy!
Used one two years back (Tim from forum), and it was a dream for a 1.6x crop.

Unless of course they sold older gear to fund the new stuff?

Anyone feel like test-driving my new site?

It is nice and easy to use. I liked its smoothness and easy way to navigate around it.

I've been to 99% of those places you visited!

Also, liked the kid with guitar in his room- he rocked!
