Some shots from a rather damp, but nevertheless pleasant, trip to the National Trust's 'Ightham Mote' property in Kent yesterday!

Nice selection, David, especially the nice cuppa to finish :)

My wife and I were thinking of going on Wednesday, but the house isn't open, just the estate. Worth it do you think, just for a nice walk?

Hi All
Here is a shot from the corner outside Westminster Tube on Friday when I just got my 50D - The clock is blown up from the first.

Hand held 24-105 f4L IS - f5.6 - 1/1000 - ISO 400

Hi Ray - well not a bad effort for a beginner - I suppose you could say it was taken at high noon! The resolution with the new camera seems to be pretty good as one would expect from 1200 quids worth of camera - I presume you only bought the body 'cos I've seen some of your other stuff on here and I don't suppose you flogged the lenses.
I'd like to see more with the 50D as I am contemplating a purchase myself - so since you seem to be one of the first let's have more. The other photos on the thread are excellent too - possibly better than your clock tower - pity you couldn't get pix of some of the MP's but they are on "summer holiday" until today.

Regards to all and keep up the good work.

Bob

Well Simmo - Anyone who pays 1200 quid is certainly paying over the top for the body.
Regarding pics of the MPs - They exist only by name - they are completely ineffective - It seems from all the national papers that they have their snouts so deeply entrenched in the trough that they cannot see what's going on.

Nice shots David

I have only a few hours around lunchtime free, then off to Wye for my mums birthday party :(
Believe me I'd rather be with you lot!

Am thinking of spending a few hours around the Greenwich Dome on Sunday morning from 08:30 to about 11:30 if anyone wants to hang about. Thinking of shooting the dome from the outside, then walking down to the Thames Barrier then back to the dome for when it opens for a quick shoot. Anyone want to come?
