I'm already in London on Saturday night, and will be quite late I'd imagine!
Do you think you'd be able to shoot inside the dome? I don't think so

Well according to a friend of mine we can, he's shot in there before. Its just shops and stuff though so I don't know how interesting it will be.

Need to change your options on User Control Panel. 50 posts per page, and it's ok ;)
Nice sequence, haha. Guess with the credit crunch, it's cheaper to bath your kids by the sea.

Mitesh, cool stuff! And I'm jealous. Sounds really cheap for drinks.
My friend went to Ibiza for a couple of weeks, and said the prices were like £10 for a single drink.

PETERSYMES - - Requests a mini review of the 50D

Here it is:-

Bloody Good.
Works out of box.
No ISO problems for normal everyday shooting.
Nice LCD.
Useful quick menu.
Lots of nice features.
I don't even notice the silver mode dial that some people seem to gripe about.
Certainaly an upgrade on the 40D.
All 30D and 40D accessories fit.
I have produced useable pics at 2000 ISO. (By accident rather than plan)

Some on the general forum seem to have condemned it and been looking for faults in it before it was even available - I can only find praise for it and say it will be ok till the 60D comes out or I top it up with a 5D2 (Don't tell 'er indoors).

In all truth I ain't used it much in anger since I got it because of the weather and I've been too busy preparing college work which will start later this month. The paperwork gets worse - so long as there are lesson plans, schemes of work and learning plans in place the inspectors are happy.

Being 15 MP,,,,, I bet it is awesome to be honest, crops alone, the last 2 bodies Canon have released, 50D and 5D MK2 in my views should have been released over a year ago, or a lot of those specs added to the 1D series, I am frustrated, angry, and looking forward to the next year in Canon upgrades.

Looking forward Ray to more thoughts on it after using it in the real world a bit more,,,,,,,,wonder if tonal range, and IQ, with the metering is really close or as good as a 1D MK3. For some sports that 1.6 crop is appealing again.

Heh, if I was going to go out and get a brand new 50D, I would still keep my MK3 :p

THAT'S the answer what Canon really wants us to do,,, BUY one of each,,,,, a 50d, 1D MK3, and new 5D, all bases covered (

That's probably true Brett. Come next March I'll buy a second camera and my "classic" 5D will be back-up. I'd be happier with 2 bodies just for reassurance. But will i get the new 5D2 or an updated 1D3 (n?)... only march and my pocket will tell:)

Right guys, just a quickie. Can someone who is going to the meet on Wednesday let me have their mobile number so I can call to find out where exactly you are, as me and Lewis (LEWWY) won't be getting there until about 6:30-7.
Obviously it's gonna be best if its someone who is planning to get there at the original time of 6 (Adam? Warren? David?).

I'm not gonna be able to get back on here until tomorrow afternoon just before I leave to travel into London so if any of you can send me your number by PM or maybe even text me on 07813012162

Cheers, and see you all tomorrow evening. :D
