Evening everyone, how's it going? Just traded my 135L for a 100-400 earlier today, shame as it was really the sharpest EF lens I've used. Oh well function over form - the 100-400 will see more light.

Resulted in some pictures from an impromptu walk today.

Southbank. London, UK.

Hope you likey it's been a while since I shot for fun. Should be a good one tomorrow night, hoping to meet quite a few of you. Is there anywhere that the meet details are posted up for those of us with goldfish memory?

cool pictures and i like people shots like that,i think and can be corrected if wrong but i think we are meeting at westminster and taking it from there and around picadilly-thats the proposed plan but as i think you are new to any meets what usually happens is we spend time taking pictures and talking and walking and finding new places of photographic interest,we also exchange ideas and tips,i've recieved a few myself but not given yet!!

Well, I have finally finished processing the photos from my last wedding. Computer hardware is the next big upgrade I think. Lightroom just takes forever :(

thanks for the numbers, I was thinking I had none.
I work nightshifts so I may be there a bit late (I may oversleep) but I will try to go according to plan.

I've taken down a few numbers that have been posted and I'll text those when I am nearly there, probably be up there earlier anyway. My number is 0 7 590058814.

Yep, outside Westminster Tube Station or there abouts to start with... then Embankment direction and wandering over to Picadilly. There's no fixed route but the start will be Westminster T.S.

Looking forward to meeting everybody who can go.

Here is a 50D shot. I have given it a little tweak in Photoshop.

Seeing as we're now into St Martins-in-the-Fields I'll post this shot from Friday when I picked up the 50D.

F18 - FL45mm - 24-105L IS - ISO 400 - Hand held.

Nice Shot Ray.
One Tip I picked up, and for anyone who has not played with it, it really is worth experimenting with to add punch to images, and then use the shadow/highlights to bring back some detail in the blacks is image/adjust/exposure brighten image, and offset it with off set and then gamma correction, just play, for those who do not or have not used it you may be surprised how it can add a little punch to some images where the light was a little flat in the first place.

Any other tips I certainly with love to hear to improve PP

I know. Iv'e become horribly lazy and alcohol dependant after Iv'e been back. :o Joke, its also a religious festival time fo us Hindu's. Its the time of Navrathri which is like the build up to Diwali so its like a celebration time for us for the next week or so.
