I like no.7 the best. I'm sure you made her nervous, probably thinking a hot guy taking my picture the whole time.

She was definitely a smiler but I wanted to get a variety of expressions.

LIke them all, but I don't think the expression in #3 works for her. She looks pissed.

NEVER use an ISO above 400 for portraits. Personally I never use anything but ISO 100. High ISOs make retouching difficult and if you want a print larger than a wallet you will have noise the size of M&Ms. :-)

In baseball you can have three strikes before you are out. In portraiture you have five strikes! Poor lighting, poor posing, poor exposure, poor expression and poor composition. Your goal needs to be eliminate as many of the above as possible and do it in every shot! None of your shots have all five, but # 3 comes pretty close. The 45 degree turn of her torso is good but the flat hand, the bored expression, flat lighting and straight up and down pose are all no nos.

Benji

Glad you graduated form College with a degree in photography than Jeff, otherwise you'd be in serious trouble!

I think the poses and locations are cool and though she looks self conscious, you captured her nicely... I think she will be pleased with these. You may want to revisit the skin tones on some of the color ones.. she has a reddish blue tint in a few of the color ones. :)

Though as long as mom orders a 16x20, you don't have to worry. ;)

Jeannie was very nervous - she had never done anything like this before and just wasnt sure what to do - It was hard having her pose as I saw it in my mind. Not everyone is a model and that is fine. I did my best and she did hers.

I will look into that... I know others have mentioned it as well. I see it as well and it came in during pp so it's easily fixed from here.

I dont know what sized they'll order but they are a more conservative type. Then again, who knows. :D

They are super thrilled with how they look. I have 31 images in all that they are choosing from. I just picked these few to place here.
