I was honored to be asked by my neighbor to photograph her family including their grandma who just came out of the hospital.
She was frail, but so happy to have all her family around. First time they all had a photo together in over 5 years.

The kids were lots of fun and it was a huge learning experience for me.

Anyway, C&C welcome.

Lovely shots all around - that one with the four kids' heads is too cute.

Very, very nice effort.

However, your horizons are off in #1 (looks just slightly low on the left) and #2 (quite a bit low on the left)

Very nice. Looks like a fun time for everyone. Did you have any reflectors or did you go in armed with just your camera and a few ideas?

Yes, the horizon actually was quite off- we were on a bit of a slope, and in the second one there is a little hill in behind as well!
Actually I may be able to fix it a bit now that I look at them again.
Thank you for your comment.

Thanks. I used a reflector in a few, but like the tripod, it always gets abandoned as I try to keep up with the kids!

Your family will treasure these excellent shots.

Thank you - that's so nice.
It's my friend's family and I do hope they'll like them.

Great captures. The shots of the kids - especially 3, 4 and 8 - are wonderful.

^^ Just a quick suggestion - it's best to include the name of the person you are quoting. You can use the " (multi-quote) icon on the bottom right of each post to select multiple posts to quote

Thank you, so much. I was wondering how to do that and I feel a little dumb now that I know how easy it is.
