What about talking about tips and tricks on getting children to stand for a photo. Here is Stefan and I used a reflector to add some diffused light.

David it's a nice capture and I have found kids to be the hardest subjects to photograph. It does seem to be a little underexposed and is an easy fix with PP. If you want I can post my PP on it. Thanks!!

I just got my first pair of glasses that I didn't think I needed. I apologize to anybody in the past year that I said their pictures were out of focus lol.

Feel free to edit and update, but also feel free to post examples of poses that work. The little guys feel uncomfortable at best when they see the camera.

I find that doing fun photography works well. Here I had a trial version of P-Shop CS3. Saving up to buy and I played with some ideas. Next time i will fix color and so on, but this will have to wait. The 30-days is over.

I must say, I rock at getting my son to sit still for pictures. Honestly, it just comes naturally. I just have a talent for these things, you know. Not everyone has it.

... or it could be that I pay him? :o

Seriously, though. I do pay my son to sit for me. It makes him much more cooperative.

Here's my try at your image:

I can't say if it's underexposed since it looks different on both of my (uncalibrated) monitors. Exposure is relative to the person looking at an image anyways.

Not a lot of change is needed. I would sharpen the image and adjust the hue to cool the image a bit.

Thanks everyone, the different edits provide a good perspective. I agree with sharpening the shot and a slight exposure change helps. I like LizB's attempt and I must say the B&W works well. Will also try the payment idea ;-)a They always like pocket money.
