Folks - I read this article on the NY times, is very interesting!

You can get some life out of your old lenses, now that you can buy an adapter to mount them on your DSLR.

Your AF won't work, but that's not so bad if you consider the costs savings of new glass.

Check it out, and let me know what you think!

A lot of people do try this or shoot with specific lenses on a regular basis. Its great since there are a lot of adaptor rings available via places like eBay and others who post up tutorials and sample shots on POTN.

Its great and get to keep old gear. I have seen some people mod old Nikkor lenses for their Canon's and never look back.

It's a good idea indeed and many photographers have been doing it for a while. Usually it's those who want to dabble with 'alternative glass'. I personally use three Leica lenses from the 1980s, a superzoom from the same era and a Leica telephoto lens from the 60s. They used to be top of the range in their day, but prove to deliver exceptional results even today.

Nice! Where did you find the adapters for your lenses?

Fotodiox.com is the first place I look for an adapter. Look at my gear list to give you some ideas of what is good to shoot on a Canon DSLR.
