I have been searching around for a 30d just about everywhere. And came across one locally on craigslist out by me. So i opened the page and saw he wants 1000$ for his 30d with no box, no papers, no cds or anything of the sort. Then i saw an xt pretty haggered going for 600 also with nothing. Is it just me or do these prices seem out of control.

The prices are based entirely on what sellers think they can drain from some sucker who doesn't know better.

People "****" about how much POTN ends up costing them because of "L" fever, etc but I'd say POTN is saving you money! :)

I sold my 30D on POTN a few months back for $575, in perfect condition. Just keep an eye on the sell forum here and you're bound to get a good deal.

Edit: Here's one for $575 in the sell forum now.

A LOT of Craigslist posts are people who 'throw it out there' and see if anyone jumps without doing any research.

Do your homework and be patient!

Some of the prices are crazy because the people who STEAL the camera equipment have no idea what it's worth.

And i will say i always keep my cameras in good conditions, and thats why i never sold them because i don't want to get lower prices that it should be, if they can find it somewhere then they will save my cameras and money, i don't want to lose more than earning, but i swear if i have a lot of money then i will sell my 350D and 30D and 5D and even 1Ds2 [I will keep 1D2N for a while].
