just popping in to say hi

hope y'all are keeping an eye on the wiki in case you're looking for 5D2 love... tons of updates in the last week - new movies, new reviews, new vendors etc... still having a very hard time like everyone else locating stock but trying my best... news from Ken Russell today too - he thinks the D3x is sharper than the mk ii (and 3x as expensive LOL) but his images are convincing.

I am a newby on here. Trying to find my way around. I just purchased the 5D Mark II. I think I am going to like it. Here is one of the first shots with it. I couldn't find anything else to shoot with it here in the dead of winter in Northern Minnesota! Hope this works. I'm not sure how to post photos.

Lovely first pic!:D

But multiple postings fast-track you to Marketplace and G&N. :arrow:

ahh how true:cool::lol:

valann wrote in post #7070834 (external link)
Is there a limit to the posts?

Nope just that if everybody reposts the last post in full it can get hard to follow because answwrs end up pages later.

Also if you have more than post you'd like to reply to you can press the little icon to the right of the 'quote' button and it sill stack the posts for you like I have here

BTW welcome to POTN great pic you posted and congrats on the new toy!:D

Man, that sucks. Here in Hong Kong I can get grips, bodies, kits, batteries etc. no problem (can't afford them ATM, but I could get them... ;) ).

Ah, to be in Hong Kong right now!

Well, if it's good enough to take the first ever digital Official Portrait of the President!;)

Oh boy, let's get ready for the onslaught of pixel peeping threads every time the White House releases a new Obama photo. What will it be... softness, black dots, focus issue, all of the above...? :rolleyes:

Use of a bracket would certainly correct the problem of a mic obstructing the viewfinder.
