I need to pace my self and balance with family. If Im out at puke for every event I will be board by xmas and it will have that "job" feel to it.
I found the same thing with models. 1 a week was good but some weeks I ended up with 3 shoots and very quickly got tiresome.

I have web site to finish and bits and bobs to do, if I dont they will never get done.

I also have to balance this all out with my commitment to the POTN vol3 book which is well underway

bored by christmas? thats only 4 weeks away, not very long to get sick of a new job path...
do you think maybe you just don't want to 'work' as a photographer at all, but rather keep it just as a hobby & shoot to please yourself?

I have 1 event next weekend and 2x2day events before xmas. Motorsport or any thing other than landscapes will not be a job option.

For me at this stage option b: hobby and please myself.

Untill people have shot a full day of motor sport or any event that has 1000 ish photos to sort, PP etc they dont realise the work involved.

For the next 10 yrs photography will be a hobby .....any money will go into gear. Once im 50 yrs old I will review. At that point the kids will be inderpendent, morgage will be under control. Then I will have the freedom to travel. In the mean time everything I do will benifit me and help in the long term goal.

I have been lucky enough to be able to afford to do what I want, get what I want. Now its time to learn the otherside of photography .......... "The business"

The new 300 F4 is my first "tool" lens

next thing to look at is a jalbum/LR setup the race meets page.

Learning new workflows and finally using LR for batch work.

Mark actually meant "These will need to be put on CD as they are too big for e-mail" (not the other way around)

took me a couple of minutes to figure out what he was saying but eventually the penny dropped...

Have you changed the font size any? the black-on-red looks harder to read today, could just be my eyesight.

That new batch folder look good.

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

Get someone to proofread your pricing page. Has spelling mistakes and poor grammar.

Far far far faaaaar too cheap btw - it's like paying yourself half of minimum wage or less!!

Red means stop. It's a subliminal message telling people to stop reading. Besides which it hurts my eyes and detracts from the photos! I keep looking at the red and not the photos.

momentz how was the drifting?

So do I need to change the red to black for the site?
As for price. Balance between quantity and sales.

My thinking is even if I get 2 people before a race meet then I have meet my target for the day. Any other sales from"other" is a bonus.

If I try to charge to much then I come away empty handed. I am aiming at the club guys. It costs them to be there and they are not going to want to spend a hudge amount on photos.

Minium wage is better than free.

Here is my model profit

46 model shoots in 1 yr ...... total made $450. Now had I charged a min of $100 I may have made more. Everyone said to low at $100. Should change MORE. So I uped the price and made $0.00
