Minium wage is better than free.

Here is my model profit

46 model shoots in 1 yr ...... total made $450. Now had I charged a min of $100 I may have made more. Everyone said to low at $100. Should change MORE. So I uped the price and made $0.00

I'm sorry but that's whatt you get for looking on MySpace.... You set yourself too low at the start and lowered the expectation and then you were never able to move from there..

You had all the means to make it very successful so dont ever blame the models...

momentz how was the drifting?

So do I need to change the red to black for the site?
As for price. Balance between quantity and sales.

My thinking is even if I get 2 people before a race meet then I have meet my target for the day. Any other sales from"other" is a bonus.

If I try to charge to much then I come away empty handed. I am aiming at the club guys. It costs them to be there and they are not going to want to spend a hudge amount on photos.

only 1 model came from myspace. The rest from Starnow.

I listened to way to many peoples opinions rather than listing to me .....wont make that mistake twice.

And now its time for me to step up to the plate and to take a swing.
Hell you never know I may hit a home run or I could end up with 3 strikes.
In any event at least Im in the game.

1: I wasnt ...... if I was you would know
2: I have read enough of those books to know how it works

I dont expect to fail, infact the lens will be paid for via sales ..... thats the goal no more no less. Once that is achieved I will get a bigger lens

I like my day job and have no plans on giving it up for another 10 yrs

Most people do when trying to start a business. Failure - 'Oh well it didn't work.' Pack things up and move on. Success means you have to start doing things, start delivering and commit yourself etc.

next thing to look at is a jalbum/LR setup the race meets page.

Learning new workflows and finally using LR for batch work.

Tony, is it my LCD or are the home page photos very bad? Looks like you put very small photos? Doesn't look good considering the photos in the gallery look sharp...

Over compressed. The anti right clicking means I close a page without bothering to look at it tbh. It doesn't stop anything and is just plain annoying. Plus many people have JS turned off and then it doesn't work anyways.

Images in the gallery looking nice!

Truck racing...somewhat amusing but still extremely boring.

Good on you, many have come and gone trying to shoot motorsport in NZ, as you will no doubt have noticed.
Just wondering, at $200 per weekend when you can get it, how long will it take you to achieve your goal of paying off the lens?

$1750 / $200 = 9 (events) ........ 8 to go.
