Scott mentioned it the other day, and I was thinking last night it might be time to organise a summer BBQ.

Either mid December or start of January I think always works best?

So long and thanks for all the flash

OK, have made up my mind and am going to order some of these
http://www.alienbees.com/cybersync.html (external link) ... They seem to have the same performance as PW's and are areound 1/3 the price. They do however have a surcharge for international orders so does anyone else want to split the shipping and order some too? Speak now or forever hold your peace :)

just the prices stated on the website, I have already asked for a discount for a buld order and they won't wear it, they know the only real competition is MUCH more expensive than their product i guess.

Got a message back from Criag Potten and it was planned.

"Both my good man ... if you read in moment and memory my comment and in the
folder of the photos in the gallery you'll see i anticipated it by looking
for a storm forecast in winter and went to the spot ...
then it happened ..."

Tell me about it! I have just received the tax bill from hell, simply blown away and at the worst possible time. But I am not letting those greedy buggars stop me from getting my honeymoon snaps LOL

Let me know anyway, as soon as i hear back from them with payment instructions I am placing the order, (probably tomorrow night as they only seem to reply once a day

Nice looking photos there.
Pretty windy. Makes me want to go wind surfing. I missing out on that this summer as we didn't go away this year for summer

I used to have this bad habit of covering the popup flash with tape and pretending I had a 5D. I grew out of it.

Anyhow, photo from a job last week, an awards evening for my old school:

I'm quite happy with it really. I know it's not perfect, but I am pretty impressed with the 40D's ISO 3200.
