Welcome along Chris

Re: 5DII, I'm tempted in getting one, just for my time in NZ and sell once I leave - useful for landscapes and wedding shots, and see what the fuss about HD is :p
But then again, it's expensive, and that money can go into more useful things, like petrol for road trips
And I've only just bought the 85L and Lee/Hitech filter kit

You know you need it!

ive had it 13mth now... arent the warranties only 12mth?

go check the consumer guarantees act - you would however have to return the camera to the place you bought it however as it would be up to them as to how they were going to get it sorted.

me having issues with anything that requires a dns lookup at present. Seems Xtra can't run a 24x7 operation to save themselves... (hence my grumbling above)

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

Huh? Not me myself, what is happening? I use KOL, the slowest, cheapest, ugliest, most basic dial up in the world, but internet seems slower than usual just now?

I don't have much up on flickr anyway :)

Nothing wrong with emigrating out of Auckland :D Although easier to do if you don't originally come from there (I am really a one eyed Cantabrian)

I do hope you're joking. It's just a fuggin camera. And that from someone who wants one more than Kate Moss in my bedroom...

Living a stone's throw from the beach is correct. ;)

I just got back, borderline wrecked from a Sony do. Corporate box for the Wellington Phoenix/Melbourne footy game. Lord only knows what I was doing there, but you know, nice to be able to get the odd perk. Very nice it was too!

Cheers, Dave.
