I'm gonna go against the grain here, and say although the crop makes the image more obviosuly focsussed and balanced, it also makes it the same shot as every other Chch photographer I've seen took, and I actually think the wider crop adds a funny kind of different tension into it...

I'd say better, but you could well crop further - i.e. remove the lower 2/3 altogether.


some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:
