I just keep asking myself "He is male isn't he? Yeah looks like it..." ;) :p

Gotta be honest though, those little things always look bloody cute! :D

Cheers, Dave.

Hey!!! This is turning into a photography forum!

Also caught up on some processing. Had my laptop nicked a couple of weeks back and finally replaced it.

Here's one from a recent weekend on Rangitoto...

Mark, were you down at Paeroa? I think my brother in law was racing, well I know he was, not sure what on or what number though. He's got a few bikes so its hard to keep track!

Yep, first time shooting bikes.

If he was riding, more than likely I've got a shot of him, took far far far toooooo many shots.

But, great day, good event but I can't believe they get away with the safety aspects of the course!

Some photos (in a share forum this time): https://photography-on-the.net …php?p=7378849#post7378849

They look great Mark, must have been a fantastic event.
I was hoping to go, but then had to meet my parents to give Dad the van back.

So long and thanks for all the flash

No problem at all.

I actually like the event but it concerns me that the people walking up & down the footpath, either side of the main straight are not even looking at the bikes!. Bit of plastic (hopefully waterfilled) barrier and some very light weight poorly supported mesh fence between them & the riders. Bikes doing close to 280km at the end of the straight and you can be within 4 feet of them!! And people are not even looking!

I will go again next year but will contact the orgainisers prior, there is a spot on the inside of the hairpin coming onto the main straight that has a veranda just about out to the apex of the bend. Just dying for a remote camera hanging off the veranda looking done onto the bikes for the "gauges" shot.

I enjoyed it, good (read "great") crowd, access is really good. Lots of marshals just invited me into the non-public areas (pays to be carrying 2 cameras, at least I looked the part:rolleyes:)

A lot of public with Canon DSLR's (far more than Nikons) and a bit of L glass floating around.

But, its hard work, the weather helped, didn't start to get too warm until 3ish which was fine with me.

Ahh, no, (well yes) but not at this stage, I think I will look for a 1dsMk2 (more in line with my budget)

Thanks Moppie, that was a few from the first 100 or so that I have looked at, many many more to go through.

I think we should make it a GKPE weekend next year!

Mark, did it rain at all there? I can't imagine the circuit would be much fun in the wet on a bike.

So long and thanks for all the flash
