wow really?, It might well have been, i know they didn't race in the first race for some reason, not sure why though.

yeah they're nutters ;-)a He built the whole contraption himself. Also races superbikes, or did, is now on the Triumph, and races a Norton I think in the Burt Monroe. Won the Burt Monroe Trophy in 2007. Classic really, almost lost his life in a bike crash on the road, so decided it was safer to race, ever since he's been coming in the top 3 or 4. He gets brand new bikes and 2 days later the engine is scattered across the garage floor. He's an engineer so does all sorts of tricks to them to lightem them. the warranty lasts 24hrs max ;-)a

good job on the lens, that was quick!!

Sorry Mark, no No 51's. (unless his was the machine that broke in two on the warm-up lap right in front of the safety car) This was just around the corner from where I was on the 2nd race, sure would have given the safety car driver a fright (as well as the driver/swinger combo!)

The broke-in-two sidecar was in the 2nd race, bit of humor, just as well it was the warm-up lap. Not sure what happened but a bit scary to them.

My 2nd oldest brother used to race but that was 30 or more years ago. Started out on production bikes, Kawasaki 1100's, Katana's and the like and then advanced to Yamaha TZ250's. Ran the entire Marlborough Series (remember cigarette advertising) for 3 years in a row. Didn't do any good, spent more time on his ar*e than anything else. Got the nickname "Crash" which has stuck with him to this day.

Used to race against the likes of the late Roger Freeth, the teenage Randy Mamola, Aussie Greg Hansen. He had a great time and whenever they came to Levels, heaps of them stayed at our place. My mother would give him heaps because they would be out to 2 or 3 in the morning and then go racing the following morning  Good times!

Hmmm, your right Bruce, I don't remember seeing Peter with glasses .

To be honest with you Peter, I can't really recall what the glasses look like, they shouldn't allow pretty girls to sell stuff like that

Will post a "duck" shot is a week or so when they arrive.

That pretty huh.

Yes I wear glasses, but only when driving or watching TV. I'm mildly short sighted... and what don't you like about my glasses... Or is it the pimpel that needs a good squeeze! <Insert pimpel popping sound here> <Insert custard hitting mirror sound here>

Neat photo SS, the cat looks so soft and friendly, as if it may actually care about the hedge hog, I suspect the opposite would be closer to the truth.

they kept forgetting it was alive & got a fright every time it moved

Some Canon goodies if anyone's interested. All 2nd hand, light studio use. Up for sale seeing as the owner has a lot invested in Nikon lenses, and the D3X has come out.

70-200 f/2.8 L IS - $2990
24-70 f/2.8 - $1995
1.4x TC - $550
50 macro - $699
1Ds MkIII body, approx 20k clicks, tiny scuff on screen (and I mean tiny) and wear marks where the strap goes through to loops. - $9100

All boxed. All with all the paperwork.

Cheers, Dave.
