Some Canon goodies if anyone's interested. All 2nd hand, light studio use. Up for sale seeing as the owner has a lot invested in Nikon lenses, and the D3X has come out.

70-200 f/2.8 L IS - $2990
24-70 f/2.8 - $1995
1.4x TC - $550
50 macro - $699
1Ds MkIII body, approx 20k clicks, tiny scuff on screen (and I mean tiny) and wear marks where the strap goes through to loops. - $9100

All boxed. All with all the paperwork.

Is the 24-70 sharp wide open at 70mm? Have learned they can vary wildly ...

I dunno, haven't taken a shot with it. Would you like me to check?

And yes, they do vary. When I bought mine, I picked from three. A rare perk so to speak, but honestly, I think the variances between one and another are overhyped. Even a ropey one is pretty special, if that makes sense? ?!

Cheers, Dave.

If it's not too much trouble, that would be awesome :) The second hand 24-70 at progear is 5 years old (don't know if this is relevant), and it's quite terrible at 70mm 2.8. Duncan's on the other hand is as close to perfect as you can get. Also if you could grab the age/date code :)

I'll try and give it a shot tomorrow. Dunno what camera I'll get to shoot it on, but I'll give it a go. :)

That photo is really cool.
Has a real nostalgia feel to it.
