A very wise friend of mine told me a story not long ago about a man who built a brick wall......2 of the bricks were not quite right.....the other 98 bricks in the wall were perfect, but he only focussed on the 2.....

Took some test shots with that 24-70 Aaron. Will try and get them up later.

Cheers, Dave.

Was it Jesus? oh wait... he was a carpenter... it must have beena close cousin though to build the near perfect wall!

just paint 'em - no-one will notice...

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

Jesus?, no, not quite, but not far off. Tony will know who I mean. ;)

And yeah, the "wall" he "builds" is pretty damn close to perfect. Everyone else thinks it is awesome, but he doesn't believe them becaused he is "focused" on the 2 bricks.

:p

I don't think Canon actually know, stupid as that sounds. ?!

OK, all shot Tim's 5D2, and hand-held so not the most scientific of tests, but best I could manage... All at 70mm too.

Full image @ f/2.8, 1/800 sec and at ISO 3200. (Obviously cropped down to suit POTN).

IMAGE: http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o71/manipula/For%20POTN/For%20Momentz/LensTestat2-8.jpg

100% crop of the above image.

IMAGE: http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o71/manipula/For%20POTN/For%20Momentz/Crop2-8.jpg

100% crop of the same thing shot at f/8 for reference.

IMAGE: http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o71/manipula/For%20POTN/For%20Momentz/Crop8.jpg

Allowing for me holding the thing, and the high ISO, I don't think that's too bad personally. I don't know how it stacks up against my own in the same situation, as I didn't have mine to hand. Price is $1950 (not the $1995 as mentioned yesterday) plus any postage obviously.

Cheers, Dave.

Thanks Crissie. Kept looking around but couldn't find anybody matching the description you gave . Was good fun and enjoyed it a lot.

How did your weekend go?

All the street races are fun! My description was good apart from the hair bit as I was wearing my Ducati 1098 cap all day, so you would have had to be looking for the limp!! he he he
Here is one of my offerings below.

That pretty huh.

Yes I wear glasses, but only when driving or watching TV. I'm mildly short sighted... and what don't you like about my glasses... Or is it the pimpel that needs a good squeeze! <Insert pimpel popping sound here> <Insert custard hitting mirror sound here>

GROSSSSSSSS!!!
