I disagree with the comments about picture 2 needing the tide to be in Tony. I love the look of the reflections on the mud and puddles and the different textures. I think it suites the moodyness of the shot.

I did a lot of different things last night. I used a flash :shock: as well as a grad filter. Spent the afternoon watching the weather and thinking about the forground when I got there.
I find I get better results when I engage thinking before finger on shutter.

curious - how many of you folks can (or can't) see www.courtier.co.nz (external link) due to browser problems? [It gets redirected from a dyndns address]


some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

How much fun was it running about in a $7k wedding dress through the deer park surrounded by frozen lakes and cow crap...... LOL!!

Yep same place... Hope she didnt get acosted by those same goats that I did.. lol :D they climbed all over me and the car! :O

Was the lake up the top frozen this time? It was freezing on the edges when we were there, but the air was bloody cold ;D I do not envy her being in a dress!

Yeah - completely frozen over when we were up there, not much snow though, just some scatterings - but it was cold non the less..... and goats.... well yes....
