oh right. interesting thst you go over the country doing it, can't they find any local photographers? referals are strong marketing eh. Its amazing how many new photographers are out there this year, our yellow pages jumped by dozens. a lot have xtra email accounts etc, it's rather interesting, someone was shooting here for $30 an hour for commercial shooting, nuts.

Have only started going 'over the country' recently - dunno if it will continue - I prefer here at home lol ... ppl claim they cant find anyone who offers the same locally and they love my photos.. so *shrug* ;) If they want to pay my airfare then I'll go anywhere :D

Belinda was on mornings today and she put the breadmaker on for me, I stumbled out at 8:30 and it had 1 minute to go before it was ready and the whole place smelt like warm fresh bread, was an amazing way to wake up.... still, not raspberry and white chocolate muffins .. but I'll tkae it :) Freshly ground coffee and freshly baked warm bread... :)

I hosted that web site up until recently.

Also helped develop it in the early days.

Believe me man, I know all about those feelings. Things you did or didn't do with people who are now gone. Never really goes away, you just use it as fuel to make you better for the future. :)

yeh i know what u mean... i wish id asked my nanna for more details about our family history, but it never occurred to me to ask for more stories than she would spontaneously tell... i guess i figured i had my whole life to hear stories, never realising she wouldnt be there for most of it

was watching a doco this morning about elderly people and they all said how they grew to value relationships over money the older they got. be good if people could learn that stuff before we got old, i guess thats the trick really.

Just life is how I think of it.

Actually it was sudden at the end. He was getting better and was at home. I was at home at the time and we didn't really get on. I left for work that morning, we made eye contact but I walked on out, we didn't talk, got a call at work at lunchtime to get home.
Biked to work that day and faced a long ride home knowing what had probably happened. I was the last to see him alive and we didn't say anything, a bit gutting.

Last thing I said to mine was if he ever turned up at my door I would punch his lights out.
"Cats in the cradle" sums it up.

Have to laught the older I get the more I realise that I am his son.

He was a underwater photographer won a few compatitions. There are a lot of slides in a box some where I bet.

Like us our parents did their best and they to had to go through life and learn from their mistakes. The old saying "one day you will have kids of your own and you will understand" always comes home to roost.

Sandra and I were talking about how different our up bringing was to our kids.
Duel income parents, always tried from the stresses and starins of life. Yet we do it so our kids can have the best. Yet they dont see it and wont untill they have their own.

So today we are all going to the beach. Im going to take photos of the family and try flashes like Brent, the kids and the dog can run around and mum can relax :)

After all Photography is about capturing a moment it time that lasts for ever.

Live life now like there is no tommorow. Keep very short accounts with people. And never let anything that needs to be said go unsaid as 1 day you many not have the chance.
Who cares whos fault it is ............. sorry is a very simple word but can heal the hardest of hearts.

EDIT: dam sounds like a flash back to a sermon I once gave :)

Back from the beach and what a total SCREW UP

Sandra me and kids and dog head off. Halfway the dog chucks up all over the youngist and the back seat. After cleaning up that mess (fabric carseats) we get to the beach. Kids go swimming and wife and kids thought it was a good idea to let the dog have a run.....untill it took off after another dog and they had to chase it all the way back to the car area just about.
Kids now wet cold covered in sand and no dry clean clothes.

Dad just sits there rolling his eyes.

And that is why I sat in front of bathurst all afternoon! (YAY for Greg Murphy!)

That and I'm knackered from tidying up after having a tummy bug go around the family this week. Last saturday Nicola had it. I had it Monday night/tuesday. Nicola had it again on wednesday. Daniel had it on Friday. and Kerry-Sue had it Friday night/saturday. Short lived, but violent little bug! I'm only just geting back to 100%. So the house smells like disinfectant cos I spent all day yesterday and half the day today cleaning. Hopfully that will be the end of it!!
