I thought you would slightly jump to his defence with his 'Astra' being the Nurburgring edition. At first I thought 'totally anal' and then I thought maybe not, it's his business card. So now I have a butt cheek on either side of the fence but my missus won't pull out the splinters.

Ok a quick edit 4 major land marks. Whale Is ,the heads, whakatane river and the beach That crop works better for online I think possibly... I'm trying to include too much by capturing both sides of the headlands. Wazza wrote in post #6480732 Very valid genuine point Tony made ![]() If you shoot portrait mode, you usually get about twice the height, especially when using a fairly wide lens. I like it anyway, nice detail etc. That's only the case if there's some more worthy foreground/background that needs including. In this case there is not. Orientation makes no difference as presented here. Sure, if I want more pixels it does. manipula wrote in post #6480726 And yes Tony we're talking about orientation, but which way you turn your camera up doesn't change the scene you're looking at. You've still got from point X --------> point Y to shoot. You just get more shots to make up the same framing. Concur. Jason

Think half of Fielding was down there watching the fire, about 6 fire trucks turned up etc, quite a decent spectacle. Probably arson, as the building had been empty since a smaller fire there 6-9 months ago. ::: flickr

Pref used, but new is ok too. I need to get hold of another flash or two, and a battery pack or two, preferably in the next couple of weeks.
