Random photo of Tui today does not approve of such violation of a nice car. I'm **** scared of auto shops...the monkies in them.

Note: Yes should have fill flashed.

Ya wa? I thought you would slightly jump to his defence with his 'Astra' being the Nurburgring edition. At first I thought 'totally anal' and then I thought maybe not, it's his business card. So now I have a butt cheek on either side of the fence but my missus won't pull out the splinters.

Yeah but that's like handing out business cards and then not allowing your clients to handle them because the special finish will get fingerprints on.

Oh, and the Astra Nurburgring is a big marketing thing and not a genuine hardcore variant. ;)

*I can't sleep* Tomorrow's gonna be rough. :(

We are talking about camera oreintation arnt we?

Ok a quick edit

4 major land marks. Whale Is ,the heads, whakatane river and the beach

That crop works better for online I think possibly... I'm trying to include too much by capturing both sides of the headlands.

Very valid genuine point Tony made :)
If you shoot portrait mode, you usually get about twice the height, especially when using a fairly wide lens. I like it anyway, nice detail etc.

That's only the case if there's some more worthy foreground/background that needs including. In this case there is not. Orientation makes no difference as presented here. Sure, if I want more pixels it does.

manipula wrote in post #6480726 (external link)
And yes Tony we're talking about orientation, but which way you turn your camera up doesn't change the scene you're looking at. You've still got from point X --------> point Y to shoot. You just get more shots to make up the same framing.

Concur. :)

Sat down to watch a movie last night, and saw a big plume of smoke coming from the middle of town, so we took a drive to see what was up. Think half of Fielding was down there watching the fire, about 6 fire trucks turned up etc, quite a decent spectacle. Probably arson, as the building had been empty since a smaller fire there 6-9 months ago.

Hey if anyone hears of good deals on a Speedlite (430EX or better) or a CP-E3/CP-E4 battery pack can you drop me a PM? Pref used, but new is ok too. I need to get hold of another flash or two, and a battery pack or two, preferably in the next couple of weeks.
