Can someone please tell me if when using BH-40 LR II on gitzo 2541 will there be clearance issue? Or the 2541 has bigger base plate then 53mm and I might have problems with bigger clamp? I tried to find out what is the base size for 2541 but there is no information anywhere.

Get an L bracket and you won't have to worry about it.

Call RRS. It is likely they will tell you that the larger clamp will likely interfere with the Gitzo platform. As already stated, if you get an L bracket the issue maybe moot.
