yea..They seem like they are lazy anymore and not really all that innovative and add stuff that coulda been left out for better features like a better AF system.

Interesting food for thought. The MP race lost its relevance to 99% of people a long time ago. My 20D still prints 20x30" prints just fine and I could probably go larger.

My real disappointment is that Canon had the technology to build the camera body that is a marriage between the portrait/landscape and sports photography, yet they opted to entice the "bigger-the-better" consumer mentality....

The #1 question I still get in regards to my 40D when I am shooting is, "How many megapixels does that camera have?", even before asking, "What model [or brand] is it?" Sadly, there are still many, many uninformed people out there, and this is why the MP race persists.

to bad they just dont keep that MP race to the P&S cause those are who really care about it. Cant change anything though

You can thank Canon's shareholders for the 5DII. They aren't photographers, they are business men. Mega pixels mean more sales, more noise doesn't mean anything to them. Some of them probably don't know what signal noise is.

This is something we are going to have to get used to. Nikon seem to be the only one that listens to its enthusiasts. Except the part on their lens costs.

marketing strategy sometimes or most of the time is full of *8*t or i dnt know the proper words. but for photographers who use canon and know whats happening its just not right at all.

The responses by that "insider" don't really sound like what an insider would say. Sounds like they interviewed someone from POTN and they just told the reporter what they were wishing for. An insider doesn't say "Although no formal testing has been done on the new model yet..."
