What's a model release number?

Hi everyone,

Simple question, what is a Model Release number? I'm seeing this term on release forms I may be using in the future, and I'm not sure what it means or what "number" to put. Thanks a ton.

I've never heard of a MR# but a MR is an agreement between the photographer and model ..
It can vary in terms of what to expect from both parties involved. But a #? Sorry ..

It's whatever number you want to type in. It's simply descriptive of the agreement.

It's a number of yours used for filing purpose. So if someone needs a MR they can just use the number you supply in the description. It's just some way to track and find MR's. Some people number them some don't.

Ahh OK, I had a feeling it was just for reference, but wasn't sure. Thanks guys.

I'm not sure. I found the MR through Google, I didn't see any links to it on their site though.
