ETTL M Zoom 24MM ?????????????

I purchased a 580EX II flash this week. At the top of the LCD screen it says: "M Zoom 24mm". I want to use the flash with my 24-85mm lens. Do I need to have this setting changed? I find the instruction booklet difficult to understand. Help Please!!!!???!!!

BTW, I want to use the flash in ETTL mode.

Don't quote me, but I believe that the zoom only refers to the flash itself and not the lens. The flash can be zoomed in and out that's why that number is listed there. I bought a Vivitar and it also has a zoom setting (can't remember which one though).

i think its in manual zoom mode
to get back to auto zoom mode:
press the zoom button and crank the wheel all the way counter clockwise
the M should disappear

Press the "Zoom" button once, the "M Zoom 24mm" will start blinking.
Turn the dial on the 580EX CCW one click.
The display will now say" Zoom xx mm" (depending on if it's on camera or not, and what lens is attached.

You can press either the "zoom" or the central button once more to stop the "blinking", but it will stop in a few seconds anyway.

Is there a box within another box on the display top-right? If so, you're all set. Just fire away.
