I managed to collect lots of nice Cheetah shots one early morning shortly after we left camp at Twee Riviera, Kgalagadi. Many of the shots are similar as I followed as best I could the sequence of events, but these four shots show enough difference to add some interest. There were three Cheetah in total, a mother along with her two almost adult cubs who were play chasing a Jackal for a time - if I can dig out that shot I'll post it.

Although the last two shots were taken with the Nikon D700/70-300mm VR combo and first two with the 1D Mk II N/400mm 5.6 L/1.4x combo any colour difference relates to the actual light on either side of the track we were on rather than anything about colour balance of the gear.

Definately the last one! Total wallhanger!!!! Would like to see it with the contrast bumped just a tiny bit, but it looks great as is.

I was going to say that I prefer 3&4. but as they were taken with a D700 (vade retro.....) I'll have to settle on 1&2.

Seriously, Great job Dave!

Cheers y'all and glad you like 'em. These were processed on my laptop in the field.

Yup ... I did a switch, but kept my well proven Canon set up for the longer range just for this trip. I'm likin' the D700.
