"camerabright" to help lock focus in low-light. Anyone tried this yet?

Stumbled onto this over the weekend.

I thought about buying one for my G6, but then I realized I could buy a 5-LED headlight on ebaY for a couple dollars and then make my own custom housing/trigger for it here at work.

or you could always go for one of these

This is what I had in mind:

I only want the "guts". I'll make a nice streamlined, flat enclosure out of aluminum on our CNC machine, something I can attach directly to my camera. Besides, the above pictured light costs only a couple bucks whereas the BlacK-Diamond light will cost $25-40. My only major cost will be my time programming the CNC machine, but I have plenty of spare time.

There is also the laser-light route as an option...

This baby looks like it would do the trick, too: :mrgreen:
