This is a dark photo...why would you choose this for a candidate for HDR?

Personally I wouldn't do HDR for this scene and yes it's a bit dark.

Not the best HDR out there but here are some of mine:

^ Although he could start his own thread;) these are perfect candidates for HDR..you are trying to retrieve light...in your house shot, its simply not a great choice .

Gret shot but I don't think HDR was the right choice for it.

ok,
just "normal" PP, basic contrast and brightness and saturation mods.

Seems to be much more texture on the building on the HDR and I like that.

Are you trying to make an HDR with only a single picture that you duplicated and adjusted the exposures on?

I think if you zeroed in on the damage to the building on the left hand side it would make for an interesting HDR. The color contract between the building, the damage and the green to the far left would be interesting.

I like both. Try overall sharpening of the original HDR you posted and also use some selective sharpening tool on what you think could be popped out more.

The original posted HDR and the 2nd posters HDR's have halos around the trees.

The normal PP'd image looks underexposed, especially on the trees.

I would have focused on a certain part of the house itself.the doorway is interesting.but the rest of the shot just isn't that inviting to me:(
