This was the second wedding with both my dear friends. The wedding was at the DC Mormon Temple and the reception in Fairfax at a very nice Chinese Restaurant. The band sand Cambodian songs, very funny. Jim & Doug did a great job and I got around a little. Here are some of my favorites and the WB inside the restaurant was awful. So, I left a few without correcting completely.

1. Doug & Jim enjoying the great 8 course dinner. We had everything from duck to shrimp to abalone to crab balls to fried rice. And lobster was great, but the white fish was the best. We had so much food.

2. I tried a little Toogy Style. I thought it was pretty good when it was raining a little.

3. A walking photo of the party

4. The groom was a model once. :)

5. The men were stunning!

6. My friend, Kathy did the cake. So beautiful.

7. Sorry about the background. Couldn't help it. But the gold dress is traditional.

Hope you enjoy this. CC is good for me. I need it. But the 24-70 was on the 5D the whole time. I couldn't avoid it. The 85 is still my favorite, and if I could have used it more, I would have.

For some reason #8 didn't get included. Here it is, the B&G with the First Dance and me taking it on the floor.

Nice shots. #2 and #4 are my favorite.

When I read the title, read the first post and then saw the first pictures I was REALLY confused.

Thanks, Jay and Moeronn! Jim & Doug work with me as my helpers, but they have as good pictures as I have. They worked hard that night. And I do love the photo of the groom being held up. The bride one didn't turn out half as cute. We had a great time and they were a joy to work with. Very rare and wonderful. The couple also had many family and friends that came to the reception, for an amazing meal, so that was probably the highlight of my evening, the fish was excellent. I think Jim, Doug and I may go back just to have that again.

lol So did I! I thought maybe the LDS church was allowing gay marriages now... "not there is anything wrong with that"

And raining. . . :( But the party was so wonderful and funny.

I had a hard time explaining that this particular color pink is very difficult to get right in PP. But I think I hit it just right. And the dresses were completely wrinkled before they even put them on. I had a lot of PP besides. Thank heavens the faces needed no work at all. They had beautiful skin. That really helps a lot.

This isn't the largest I've had. One wedding the whole family (7 siblings of the bride) wore matching outfits. It was amazing and crazy. I think they had about 15 grandkids under 10 running around.

Suzy,

Super shots except for the two mugs in the first photo :) We had a fine time shooting with you...the Reception venue was tough...I do have to work on my WB techniques.

Given the poor light at the wedding with the rain and overcast, you did an outstanding job is keeping the colors vibrant and true...the dresses are spot on.

I will drop off a CD tomorrow (Saturday) with my best captures.

That's half of why I asked. I was also curious if she would be allowed in if she wasn't a member of the faith.

I wish I had been in New York before they dedicated the Temple there. It would have been very interesting to see the inside. Now, I don't think I'll ever get that chance.

After a temple is built, the church allows visitors before the dedication. I went to the NYC Lincoln Center one before it was dedicated and after. I am LDS, so I attend the weddings and take pictures after. I'm lucky that way. Jim did not go in, he is not a member. But the receptions are for everyone, so that is really great, and this reception the food was so good, I'm still thinking about it. :)

The colors were hard. Jim is right. But I did some temperature work on the reception ones, and there were a lot of wall distractions I had to clone out. I had lunch with Kami today and gave her the 4x6's I printed, about 150 of them. She loved them and will be ordering some for albums. She loved the Smugmug gallery I set up for friends and relatives so she doesn't have to worry about that.
