Very nice with the crop. I really like it. But why not keep the detail in the sea with the tweak? Hope you dont mind, just did a quick edit but kept the crop. :D

I think there is a blue cast overall that is not natural.

I also think that conkeroo's version is simpler and gets your attention.

I agree Bob, but I was not trying to stay true to the original photo..it seemed mundane to me.only because I se it every day I suppose?

Maybe I was trying to hard for a simple remedy to a not so interesting shot.lol....it harkened me to the 80's:cool:

I shall persevere;)

looks like fun to me... It looks like something you would create with different shades of poster board. I think I would take from conkeroo's edit and just turn the sea/bay a constant but darker blue and leave that one island black.

My first thought when I saw the manipulated verson was "Why is there a lighthouse when there's no water?".

It.s a beacon.but I see your point. I will print out both ways and see what catches my eye.
Hubby said the same thing about seeing the water...but I do like the mountains in the edited one....

Mighten it be a good idea to mount a bright light in that beacon and turn it on?
