Ive been using standard supplied neck straps for the longest time, and I think its time for me to upgrade...

I'm 6"2, and shoot a gripped 40D, with lenses as light as the 10-22 and as big as the 70-200 2.8ISL & 100-400 ISL sometimes with a 580ex attached as well.

Can anyone reccomend a good valued & comfortable neck strap (preferably one without any sort of "hey, steal me!" logos...

(I looked at the lowpro ones, but I think they are all a little short)

Thanks!
-John

Just picked up one of these for my second camera body. It actually fits better strung over the shoulder. Very comfortable.

I use the Tamrac N5055 in black color. Blue is a bit too bright for my taste.

Try the Optech Pro Loop...makes a world of difference when I'm toting my 70-200L/2.8 or the 100-400L.

If you are going to be carrying the camer around your neck, the POTN Optech Pro Loop is great!

If you are going to be carrying it on your shoulder only, try the Upstrap, its great!

so the 70-200L or 100-400L dosen't say "Steal Me"

:) Not as much as the big "He's got a Canon EOS DSLR" neck collar as I cradle my lenses in my arms. ;)

Thanks for the suggestions! I was looking at the POTN pro and envy straps... does anyone have a preference between these (for carrying around the neck?)

The Kata Reflex C and especially the Reflex E are well long enough to wear diagonally across my not insubstantial body. The have a sort of neoprene like piece round the neck and are very comfortable.

I use these exclusively:

These things just will not slip off your shoulder and they're long enough for an NBA center.

This is my favorite one. http://www.blackrapid.com/ (external link)
I like it better than all of the others that I have purchased.

POTN strap seems to be OpTech Pro. I have used OpTech Pro for about 5 years. Extremely comfortable. Nice to be able to disconnect the around-the-neck part before putting camera into carry case.
