Well I went hunting "Little Birds" today. I as of yet do not have a SF 9000 in place nor even the plans for one. However I did catch this little fellow and was even so lucky as to have him/her beak first! I do not know the name nor proper name for it . . . so if you can help me out here, my thanks to you.

Also I need to know a good little bird book to buy so that I might look up my own asap. Thanks!

Taken with a 20D and Canon 100-400 zoom.

It's a good picture of a Black-capped Chickadee (Poecile atricapillus), my wife told me.

Also the National Audubon Society Field Guide - Birds (Western Region) is a very good book.

Definitely a fine photo of a Black Capped Chickadee :D

These little guys are really hard to shoot. They never sit still for a second. Almost as fast aa Nuthatchs. Good capture.

Thank you gentlemen . . . and for the inspiration to try to 'shoot' little birds as well. I have been missing out on a lot of fun I can see.
