XRite 2 vs LT ?

After some more research I settled on XRite, seems to get better reviews more consistently than Spyder.

However, I fail to notice the difference between LT and 2 - can somebody explain that to me ? There's another $40 difference and I don't know if I need it, after all I'm just an amateur.

Also, another question - my LCD monitor is right in front of a window and moving it is not an option. I assume I can create 2 profiles, one for day and another for night; is there an easy way to switch them with a click of an icon ?

I think I'll go with LT then. This will end my photo gear purchasing spree for a while (although, this 50D seems mighty interesting... ;) )

From what I am reading the LT is a beginner calibrator that looks like it only has a auto calibrate. The LT has an advanced mode that allows you to tweak each setting for you LCD. I have the 2 and it works perfect...Jeff
