Ive been cruising the boards and was highly thinking of buying the canon 24-70mm L but just cant do it because of the price. So then I noticed the sigma was considerably cheaper and was of great quality. Drawbacks being not weather sealed(but neiher is my camera), noisy autofocus (i dont know if that would be a problem) and build quality (but I dont think it will fall apart either!). Its pluses are the pictures are on par wih the canon. So between the two I will pick the sigma. Now the question is: Is there a lense that you think is just a stellar performer above the sigma given this price range?
I also want to get the canon 85mm 1.8 so do you think I should for a 17-?mm instead of a 24-?mm?
the camera is the 50D
Actually rather than saying bang for the buck..what lenses do you think produce oustanding photos around this focal length and price?
