thinking about my grand plan to amass the lenses i want...is there room for both the 17-50/55 and a 24-70?

i'd love to get the 24-70L someday along with a UWA like the Tokina 11-16 or something, but that leaves a small gap there. i'm wondering if it is worth filling or not. i guess ideally an 11-16, 16-35, 24-70, 70-200 would be a good stable....or maybe a 10-20, 24-70, 70-200. i'm hesitant about the 16-35 or 17-55...pricewise mainly...the Tamron 17-50 would be okay...but does it fit?

my 18-55 kit lens just broke (put it on the camera and aperture read F00...couldn't change it) and i'm thinking about a new lens. i mainly like to photograph my dogs indoor and out. the love the prime and wide aperture but need something shorter than the 85. so another question...for dog photos indoors, would you get the Sigma 30 1.4 or 50 1.4?

thanks!

I have a gap between my 17-55 and my 70-200. I don't miss it at all. I had a Tamron 28-75 to fill the gap, but never used it, so I sold it.

You should only fill gaps if you have a specific need in the range of the gap or if you have OCD and won't be able to sleep at night if you have a 5mm gap somewhere.

The fact you added up all the pros and cons of lenses and left a gap, means you probably don't need anything in that range anyway.

Unless you have OCD then please fill that gap now :p
