I just almost shipped off my bag but then looked at everything I had dumped out on my bed. I went to the camera store on campus here and they were a little dry as far as their selection (they expect more in by the end of the week). I need a bag to carry all of my equipment, plus my laptop (Dell D830, 15.4" widescreen), and I would like to be able to carry a change of clothing as well. I currently carry a Fastpack 250 and I think the pocket in the upper area is simply too small.

I carry all kinds of wires, an led flashlight, my charger, charger for my phone, usb cf reader, pens, rocket blower, extra cards, tripod mount, safety glasses. This bag is usually my "not going to classes" bag. The bag I carry anytime I need to go anywhere that's not to class. It's just too chunky, Im a pretty tall guy- 6'1".

I wouldn't mind a shoulder bag, but my laptop is pretty heavy (around 5.4lbs) plus all of my camera equipment gets up there in weight. Maybe the simple face that my current bag weighs like 9 lbs by itself is a problem.

I've been looking at the Kata DB455. Only problem- it's not big enough!

I love the layout/style of the bag though, if only the (whole) bag were a bit bigger.

Have you looked at the (IIRC) 467? Larger than the 465, and accomodates a laptop.

I think I need something bigger than the 467. I would ideally like to be able to fit my 80-200 mounted on my (not gripped) 30D

No one has a good solution for this? I've been looking all over the place- nothing reasonably priced seems to be available?
